The CMS QSO memo in September discussed guidelines for reopening communities to visitors and communal dining services.  As the vaccine is distributed in long term care, residents and staff have long been ready to get back to normal. With the pandemic still in our midst, this session will discuss best practices for dining services, including lessons learned from COVID-19

Anna de Jesus, MBA, RDN, is the President of Nutrition Alliance, LLC, founded in 2000.  Nutrition Alliance provides nutrition and culinary consultants in Skilled nursing, assisted living, hospitals and various industries in AZ. 

Anna has worked in various fields such as research, school food service, acute care, sales and senior healthcare.  She is a dynamic speaker and has presented for several organizations both locally and nationally.  In 2020, her webinars on COVID-19 have garnered over 1000 participants.  Anna has been teaching the Certified Food Protection Manager (ServSafe) class for the last 20 years.

She has held various nominated and elected positions and is currently the Sponsorship Chair for the Dietitians in Health Care Communities.

An innovator and educator, Anna has written and co-authored various publications.  She graduated from the University of the Philippines with a degree in Community Nutrition and Master’s degree in Business Administration from Keller Graduate School, where she graduated with distinction.
