Career Upskilling: Creating Opportunities to Level Up

Career upskilling, providing employees the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge, is one way of helping employees continue to grow in their current role. This provides an opportunity for employees to feel more engaged and helps retain staff. This session will cover examples of upskilling programs and summarize key elements an organization needs to consider when creating their own programs to help employees train and develop skills that support and help them grow in their current role.

Session Objectives

  1. Describe what career upskilling is.
  2. Explain how career upskilling can support employee retention.
  3. Identify elements needed for a successful career upskilling program.
