Next Generation MyCare Ohio: What Providers Need To Know

Join OHCA QP and OHCA’s Strategy Director, Erin Hart, for an educational session on Next-Generation MyCare Ohio Plans. This session will provide an in-depth overview of the upcoming changes to the MyCare Ohio program and how facilities can strategically position their in-network plans to best support residents and families. Attendees will learn practical strategies for care coordination, utilization management, transportation services, and working effectively with Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs). A Q&A segment will follow to address participant questions and real-world scenarios.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Describe key updates and differences in the next-generation MyCare Ohio plans.
2. Identify strategies to optimize facility participation and positioning within MyCare networks.
3. Explain how care coordination, utilization management, and transportation processes differ under the new plan structure.
4. Recognize the role of AAAs and effective collaboration methods for improved resident outcomes.
5. Apply best practices to educate residents and families on plan selection and access to care.
