This session will provide a comprehensive overview of past noncompliance in skilled nursing facilities, focusing on the required elements, operational examples, and surveyor perspectives. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of what constitutes noncompliance, common pitfalls, and how to address and rectify issues to prevent future citations. The session will offer practical examples of how noncompliance is identified in daily operations and how facilities can implement corrective actions. Additionally, attendees will hear about what surveyors use to evaluate for past noncompliance.
- Interpret the required elements of past noncompliance and how surveyors assess them during regulatory reviews.
- Analyze real-world operational examples to detect and address patterns of noncompliance within facility practices.
- Formulate strategies based on regulatory requirements, to improve compliance and prevent future citations.
