    The LTC Survey Requirements for Participation are changing and SNF will be expected to be in compliance. Food, nutrition and dining are integral components for success in the survey process. Providers must know what these changes are and what surveyors will be looking at during the survey process. This session will present an overview of the key changes to put you in the “driver's seat" for success with compliance.

    Brenda Richardson, MA, RDN, LD, CD, FAND, is a known leader in the field of dietetics and nutrition with aging. Brenda is a national acclaimed speaker, author, LTC nutrition-legal expert and consultant to health care providers. She is President of Brenda Richardson Associates, LLC. Brenda currently serves on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Position Committee, is past Chair of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Political Action Committee (ANDPAC) and serves on the Academy CMS Workgroup and IMPACT ACT Task Force.

    The final rule for the new Requirements of Participation has been released and AHCA will provide a briefing about the changes. This briefing will provide a high-level overview of the more than 700-page final rule. There is a 3 year Phase-In of the requirements and we will focus on the portions of the rule that are in Phase 1. Following our presentation there will be a Question and Answer period.
