AHCA PDPM MDS Accuracy Toolkit – Resident Classification- PDPM Academy

The AHCA PDPM MDS Accuracy Toolkit – Resident Classification was designed to furnish tools to providers during preparations leading up to PDPM implementation to better understand the specific MDS items and claim information that determine how the five case-mix adjusted component classifications and per-diem payment rates are determined.  All members can access template PDPM MDS worksheets (including ~40 new items providers will report on October 1, 2019), template PDPM workbooks that enable manual determination of resident case mix classifications and rates, and a PT, OT, and NTA variable per-diem and RUG-IV rate tables.  These tools will permit members to compare the relative impacts of PDPM rates versus RUG-IV rates on current residents, which can help in planning changes in operational and clinical processes prior to PDPM implementation.  PDPM Academy Registrants can also access example resident MDS and resident classification workbooks to facilitate team training efforts.  Additional tools and resources to be added as developed.
